From starving cannibals wandering the stars to a suburban boy facing his worst fear, DEAD ENDS II reimagines creation myth, absurdism, romance, and fairytale in a series of bizarre and sweet existential fables.
DEAD ENDS II is a follow up anthology to our first ever release DEAD ENDS. This anthology is 140 colour pages, featuring six stories, comic strips, cartoons, and a puzzle page. This anthology also features art by Cody Anderson and R. Marion.
Chadwick and I have been making comics together for 10 years now, (provided you don’t count our unfinished alien invasion book we started as 13-year-olds). A decade ago in a kitchen in the suburbs, Chadwick wanted to draw a comic and asked me if I wanted to write it. Since then we’ve released seven comics, including one-shots, minis, and trades. DEADS ENDS II, is our eighth comic, and likely the last we publish under the New London banner.
This book is the end of an era and the beginning of another. It is simply the saddest, sweetest, and strangest thing Chadwick and I have ever made.
DEAD ENDS II is launching at the Original Comic Art Exhibition at the Papercuts Festival, at Greenlight Comics 18 Stephens Place Adelaide, 5-9 PM.
